The main reason of transferring the student to another faculty is reducing the distance, not because of changing the student opinion and his renomination to another place
Transferring is done through a certain percentage assigned by the supreme council of Universities and according to the capacity of the faculties
Transferring process is divided into two types:
First: Transforming to another different (corresponding or equivalent) faculty or institute
- The student who is nominated to join a faculty inside or outside his geographical area is allowed to
– transfer to another different faculty in his geographic area, only if he got the minimum degrees of the of the faculty which he wants to transfer to and also he must meet all the admission terms such as passing the capability test if found
For instance:
A student who is accepted at faculty of engineering at Assuit University, and he is from Gharbeya city, he is allowed to transfer to another different faculty (faculty of science faculty of arts- faculty of commerce, in Tanta city, as Tanta lies on in his geographic area, in condition of meeting the minimum degrees of the faculty he wants to transfer to
Second: Transfer to the same faculty
- The student who is accepted in a faculty outside his geographic area, is allowed to transfer to the same faculty only in his geographic area
- If there is more than one counterpart faculty in his geographic area, he is allowed to choose one of these faculties, in his geographic area
The possibility of transfer is assigned according to
The numbers of the students, the capacity of the faculty, the student order between the students, according to his grade and also the number of the students that the supreme council of universities assigns
3- The student is allowed, who is nominated as regular student, to transfer to the same faculty in his geographic area, but only to the affiliate system
The student who is nominated for a certain unsuitable institute can transfer to another suitable geographic area
- .The student is nominated (to join a different or corresponding faculty) according to their desires , the number which the supreme council of universities and the capacity of the faculties
- How to transfer from one faculty to another According to the geographic distribution timetables and the admission terms to reduce alienation
Suppose that there is a student got the secondary school certificate (science section)and lives in sayeda Zeniab directorate in Cairo and he is nominated to join faculty of pharmacy at Assuit University, in this case ,there are two options
If he wants to transfer to a similar faculty in his geographic area (a) in Cairo, there are three faculties of pharmacies in domain(a) in Cairo, these faculties arranged according to the minimum grade, faculty of pharmacy at Ain Shams University, faculty of pharmacy at Cairo University and faculty of pharmacy at Helwan University and if the student chose a similar transferring, he can apply to transfer to Helwan University to reduce the alienation, as this faculty represents the least minimum degree among faculties
Suppose that there is a secondary schools student (mathematics section) and he belongs to shebeen Alkom directorate in Monofia city and he is nominated to join faculty of information and computer at Zagzig University, in this case he is allowed to apply to faculty of information and computers at Monofia University to reduce alienation but according to the geographic distribution timetables and admission rules
If a secondary school student (literary section) resides in Alexandria directorate and he is nominated to join faculty of commerce in Zagzig city according to geographic distribution and admission terms to reduce alienation
If he wants to transfer to another counterpart faculty at Alexandria:
He can transfer to a corresponding faculty in Alexandria, to reduce alienation, but in the condition of getting total degrees higher or equal to the minimum grade of the faculty he chooses
Another example for a secondary school student (science section) he lives in Almaddi directorate in Cairo and he is nominated to join faculty of science at Helwan University
If he wants to transfer to another counterpart faculty in Cairo:
He can choose any faculty he wants to join but less than or equal to his total degrees in domain (a) such as faculty of arts-faculty of law-faculty of agriculture-faculty of information and computers
It is very important to note that
- Transferring are accepted according the percentage which the supreme council of universities assigns and the capacity of every faculty
- The aim of transferring either to a counterpart or corresponding faculties is reducing the distance
- In the case of counterpart transformation the student must meets the admission terms of the faculty he wants to transfer to.
Important Note:
The following faculties have no counterparts so transferring from and to them follows (subject to) a certain system
1-faculty of medicine at Ismailia University
Faculty of electronic engineering at Monnof University
Faculty of petroleum and mining at Suez University
Faculty of urban planning at Cairo University
Faculty of energy engineering at Aswan University
